Absolutely loved your cake! It will be a lasting monument to your first home. Many happy memories. I suggest a glass dome to protect and preserve it for generations.....
That's an awesome cake Lynn. I hate making cakes because I ALWAYS mess them up. Like yesterday, just flipping a simple star shaped cake over, it totally cracked down the middle and was hopeless. So I hurried and made another one. That one wouldn't come out of the pan and ended up in like 20 pieces. So I made brownies and vowed to only make cakes that can be served from the pan they were baked in.
Also, in response to your comment on my blog, I can't believe it's been 8 years since those days in Hawaii. Good times! I miss it so much- we haven't been back since we graduated in 2003.
